Hi everyone!
This past week has been crazy with General Conference! My Zone got to watch the Sunday afternoon session! So good! We met a lot of people and honestly it was a bit overwhelming with people left and right! We talked with so many Hispanics. Sister Lopez had to go on exchanges a couple of times throughout the weekend. It seems that my body was fighting the flu and so I went to the loft (where all the sick sisters go) with Sister W.! We are in the same district and she is also from OKLAHOMA!!! We are the only two from OK. She has a tummy problem, she can hardly eat anything, cannot have milk, sweet things, bread products and much more. If she does she has to lay down for hours so we were buddies while the rest of the mission were uplifting the members. In the past, Conference was all about referrals but this time it was just building up the members, so cool!
So after emails we are having a Zone activity. We are having a cookout at Pres. Harmon's (one of my mission pres. counselors) house and watching more of Conference! So excited!
This transfer has been a bit hard, all of our investigators aren't interested anymore and it is a bit disappointing. There was Robert who we taught for almost 2 months but didn't hear from him for like 3 weeks and I got a hold of him. I asked him if he got baptized on Saturday (Oct 4) like we had planned. He said yes but he stumbled and I asked if we could have the missionaries number to see how it went, he wouldn't give it. There have been many times where the sisters encounter people lying and wasting our time. He was playing a joke, that is the hard thing about taking chats and calls because it can be hard to know if they are sincere. Like they say, you have to go through many people who are not interested to find those who are!
That's all for this week!! Miss you all!
Love,
Sister Tuckett
Extra stuff:
She is in the Beehive House for about 19 hours a week, then 11 hours in the Teaching Center a week, and the rest of the time on Temple Square doing tours.
The sisters were on Temple Square from 7:30 am until 9:45 pm during General Conference with only two 20 minute breaks the whole day!
She got to see "Meet the Mormons" Sunday evening after conference. She wants EVERYONE to go see it!
A visit by "President" Uncle Gerry and Aunt Candy!
And Beverly....
And Beverly and Shelby....
Sister Tuckett and Sister Lopez in the tour...
A surprise visit by Alayna and Adelaide!
Sister Tuckett was so excited to hear Adelaide say "temple", "Jesus", and "Abby"!
Sunday afternoon session of General Conference.
They met these two at the Beehive House when giving them a tour.
Then they ran into them 3 other times and then again at the Sunday afternoon session of Conference!
The one by Sister Tuckett brought her friend to learn more about the Church.
And just an extra picture of Sister Tuckett and Sister Lopez.
