So I think I told you Bob from Africa got baptized last week, and another, Samuel from Florida and we have 2 that are supposed to get baptized this Saturday and one more next week so 5 baptisms.

Everything is going great! I love sister Alliaud! I am learning a lot too! Oh I wish I had a picture, but we saw a man that literally looked like Jesus this week! Like his hair and outfit and everything and then we met a women who told us that she was Jesus' wife and we also met Moses! (17 year old boy who was talking about the end of the world)  Funny stuff but it is so sad too. I am sad thinking that I will only have a couple more weeks with Sister Alliaud. :(

We as a mission are doing a 5 K challenge we have 8 weeks to prepare, but I don't know how much I can do with my knees. (Her knees are hurting her pretty bad again.)

Well that is all I have for now :)

She only had about 30 minutes to email today.  Her zone is going to the park for a picnic and games.

Beautiful pictures of Temple Square!
One of the senior missionary couples took the pictures.

Sister Tuckett's birthday is on September 24th!
It would be great if we could fill her box with birthday wishes!
Her address is here on the blog.. on the right side.

Wow! Seriously one of the best weeks! Alright to start off, the work is pressing forward! One of our investigators, Bob, from Africa got baptized this past weekend. We didn't see that coming, he was on date for Sept. 12. We tried calling him all week but he never answered so we sent him an email. He wrote back saying that he couldn't wait any longer and he was so busy with preparing for his baptism! He is a miracle! God helps us find those that are prepared!

Also, I went on some amazing exchanges with the sisters in my district this past week! I have some of the best sisters! They are just wonderful! I have grown a deep love and respect for them! Every single exchange I learned something new from them. We met some Anti's and that was an interesting experience!

We had a training meeting for all of the leaders in the mission this past Saturday and the theme was becoming like Christ. We studied the Christlike Attributes and have a little discussion about what we learn. President talked about the little things that we are asked to do is to help us become. Refinement is the key, and through that process we experience many things but the choice we make whether good or bad effects who we become.

Oh and to wrap this up, Elder Cook just thought he would like to visit our sacrament meeting this past Sunday! He talked at the end, he shared his testimony about how the mission prepares us for greater things! We all have a mission to fulfill in life and these 18 months will bless us forever!

I love you all, I love this work! My testimony and faith strengthens everyday! What we do how we live is an example to those around us. Become who the Savior wants you to be!

She just has her face showing in the middle of the group!

Michael Lund served part of his mission in our ward.
Looks like he found Sister Tuckett!
He said that both Sis. T and Sis. A asked for chocolate!!!

Lonny and Lori Townsend saw Sister Tuckett on Temple Square on Friday!
Sister Alliaud knows one of Lori's friends who lived in Peru!
Beautiful picture of the Salt Lake Temple taken by Lori.

One of her college friends found her on Temple Square!
Sister Tuckett was able to meet Haleigh's grandparents while serving in Emmett, Idaho!
Thanks for the picture Haleigh!

I received this picture from our ward primary today.
They had the missionaries come in and talk to the children about miracles they have seen on their mission.  With the left over time the kids wrote notes to the 5 missionaries serving from our ward!
Sister Tuckett will be so happy to receive her letters!

Here is a Missionary Momma's video.  You can spot Sister Tuckett twice starting around the 3:50 mark.

Here is another one.. you can find her around the 1:00 minute mark.

Well, no blog letter this week but she gave me a few tidbits.

William B. and his brother (outbound in Emmett) finally decided that they wanted to get baptized and so they did this past week! Now Michelle and William and the boys can go to the temple in a year to be sealed as an  eternal family!

Hispanic people are so willing and prepared to receive the gospel.

I love working with the sisters!   (She is the district leader over 3 companionships)
I have to report numbers on Sunday, have interviews, lead meetings and such. Still learning what I have to do.

She had a scare on Monday.. she received a text from a sister in the office saying to call her ASAP!  When she called the sister in the office said "Your grandpa...."  and Sister Tuckett started crying thinking something had happened to one of her grandpa's!   But it all ended okay.. it was Grandpa Tuckett calling to set up a time for he and Grandma to visit her that day!!!  She got to have lunch at Olive Garden and take them on a tour.

They got to go to Brighton Girls Camp on Saturday!
Here is Sister Tuckett's new companion ~ Sister Alliaud from Argentina!
Her parents are serving as Mission President in the Argentina Cordoba Mission.

"She (Sister Alliaud) is so funny and sweet!  This is her 3rd transfer!"

    It is OFFICIAL!!!!
December 16, 2015 Sister Tuckett will return home!
This came on August 14th!
Now we just have to wait for the flight itinerary!

I am with another spanish companion from Argentina! Her name is sister Alliaud

 and...

"Sister Tuckett you are here by called by the Lord to serve as a DL (District Leader)."

Another transfer has come and gone. Time is a strange thing. I am going to miss Sister Nevil! I am glad that I had the opportunity to serve with her for 3 months, she has taught me so much whether she knows it or not.

We had transfer conference on Monday and every time the departing sisters share the most important advice with us, as if they were telling their little sisters. I loved this one,"RUN" don't walk the time is short. Acronym for "RUN" Repent daily, Unrestrained, and Notice who it came from. The acronym is how can we follow the Spirit fully. Without the Spirit we cannot teach. That is the most important thing in missionary work is the spirit!

Also speaking of new transfers I am getting a new companion! Her name is Sister Alliaud and she is from Argentina! My 4th Latina companion, I think the Lord is telling me that I need to learn Spanish! ;-)   And also, I have been called to be a District Leader. I am really looking forward to serving the Sisters in my district and I know that they will be great blessing to me!

It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! They have been putting up lights for the past month! I kinda got Sister Nevil hooked on singing Christmas songs during companionship studies and while we are getting ready in the mornings! Lol!  Gonna miss her but I will see her everyday so that will be nice!

So we found Bob, from chat, last week during exchanges. He is from Africa and said that he wants to learn more about the church. Long story short, he is on date for baptism next week, August 26! He is soaking it all in, he keeps saying "I am on the right path." He is, I love him so much!

Life can be hard, in many ways, we all experience different challenges, but without them we wouldn't need faith, we wouldn't need to trust in God. I love this quote, "Never lose faith in the Lord's faith in you." I never thought about that, it is important to have faith in ourselves too, to call upon the Lord for help. Faith is action, have faith that you, as a child of God, can do hard things!

I love you all! I hope that you have a wonderful week!

Called to Serve
Sister Tuckett

Email was not too good today.  Wondering if the server was messed up.  Hardly got any emails from her today.  Glad we got the blog letter before it messed up!

A kind person sent this to me last night!
The only picture I have this week.

Excerpts from Sister Nevil's email to her mom:

We had West Gate and then had to drive a Sister to the Doctor. We got lunch at Costco (AYYY $1.50 hot-dog and drink). There was a lady sitting by us and walked over and gave us each a $2 bill. She said "ice cream's on me today". We were so full (it's a big hot-dog), but we got our ice cream anyways. Such a sweet lady! One of the Sisters had a birthday party, so we went to her apartment (right above ours) for dinner!

We met a guy who makes documentaries and had a SUPER CUTE DOG!!! We stopped to pet his dog and ended up talking about the Book of Mormon. As Sister Tuckett was talking, the dog came and sat at her feet. The man said "well, looks like you just converted Charley!" Haha, it was great. We converted a dog.

And a picture!

Tuesday evening... I got an email from her saying the server went down and no one could email anymore.. but that she had 15 minutes to email.  But,, now she isn't emailing again!

BUT!!!!!
Marie N. went back to Temple Square and gave Sister Tuckett and Sister Nevil some more treats!!!
Thank You Marie!!!!!

Here is what she sent me:

"Quick trip up to Temple Square today so I could take a treat to the two Southern Belles before their transfers tomorrow. Sis. Tuckett's mom had given me Grandma Tuckett's Caramel Corn recipe, which she said is one of her favorite treats. So I made some and then cut up some fruits and vegetables so they could have some quick healthy snacks. Didn't stay long, and they were talking with some people when I found them so I tried not to interrupt. I realized I had forgotten my camera, so just had to use my iPad. The Temple was really pretty today, so I took a couple of shots and was liked that the Utah State flag cooperated with being somewhat unfurled."

Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Hey everyone! It has been another fast crazy week here on Temple Square! The weather has been bipolar! It is nice one day and the next you are dying. I got sick several times because I wasn't drinking a lot of water! Sister Nevil has to keep reminding me to DRINK!

She didn't send me any pictures this week but I still got a few from other people!

They were suppose to go to Brighton Girls Camp but it was cancelled because of chance of rain.. and then it didn't rain.  So she was kind of bummed that her half of the mission didn't get to go this year.  She loved it last year!

I don't know these sister's names but I am sure grateful for the picture!!!

CeAnn Whitehead went to Temple Square on Monday
and waited around for Sister Tuckett and Sister Nevil
to come out on the Square!
Thank you for waiting CeAnn!!!
(Her son is serving here in Oklahoma!)

Tuesday, August 4, 2015

Well, today is another no letter day.  She got on email and said she had 5 minutes and then they were having a zone BBQ and Family Home Evening and would email me again in a couple hours.  I waited and waited,, and finally 4.5 hours later finally started getting some little tiny short emails.  They were all having to use their iPads to do their emails.  But,, she sent me a few pictures.  She is still happy to be serving and serving on Temple Square!  Two weeks from tomorrow will be transfers so she will be getting a new companion.  She has really grown to love Sister Nevil so it will probably be a sad day.

A newly returned missionary's friend tagged him in this picture with
Sister Tuckett and Sister Nevil!  Thanks Jesse!!!

My cousin, Beverly found Sister Tuckett on her lunch hour!

Here are the pictures she sent me today.

Trying on another sister's glasses.
 Back to her own glasses.
I am enjoying seeing her pictures she takes of the temple!
