Hello!

Hello Everyone!

Happy Late Mother's Day!! I love you all!! Hope that it was special for all!

So I am sure that you know by now, that Mom and Dad came to visit me last week! It was fun to see them but like everyone says I felt like an awkward missionary. I have changed on the mission and so it was a weird feeling not seeing family for about a year and just suddenly seeing them and taking them on a tour. Lol

Ashley whom I met on chat a couple of weeks ago, has been struggling with her testimony about the importance of temples. We talked about patience and how God wouldn't want her to get frustrated with herself if she cannot overcome her challenges now. She cried and then asked me when I was coming back to Nampa (I told her that I served there for 3 months). I loved serving in ID, I met so many amazing people and God is still showing me that there is more work to do there. I may just end up moving up there ;-)

The spirit is the key to success and helping others who may be struggling. It changes lives and softens hearts! Sorry for it being short!

I just want you all to know that the spirit can ONLY testify of truth, I know that we are given that constant companionship when we take upon us the name of Christ. Remember you are loved and are never left alone!

I love you!

Sister Tuckett was the driver for the day.
She said that Aubrie and Amy should trust her to drive their vans (present or future) when she gets home,
saying she will be a PRO at driving them!

I received this picture via email the other night.
Another missionary mom sent it!
She knows how she likes getting pictures of her elder
so she sent me this of my sister!

Then there was Mother's Day Skype!!!!!

We had almost everyone in the family who lives in OK be able to talk to her!
She loved it and so did we!

She did write a letter for the blog and gave it to me when we saw her on Temple Square!

Hello Everyone!

SORRY that I am bad at writing.  Too many things going during email time!  Lol

So before I came back to Temple Square, I was anxious to come back, I just wanted to stay in Emmett.  So, I asked some of the Elders in my district to give me a blessing.  Granted I didn’t tell them anything that was going on, but God and the people needed me back in SLC>  I was told multiple times that I was called to do what NO other could do and that Heavenly Father is proud of me!  I know that God is aware of each of us.  He has a plan and in each step or chapter in life He knows where to guide us!

This past p-day my district and zone leaders were able to visit the GREAT SALT LAKE!  It was really cool and a good experience!

Also this past week we have been able to find many people to teach!  I absolutely love chat, we find many elect, those who are really searching for truth and peace.  We found a young man named Bryan… He has been meeting with the local missionaries in Texas and now has a baptismal date.  But his concern is that no one seems to want to talk to him at church.  Not only as a missionary but as a member of the Church, it is so important to help members to get involved in fellowshipping these precious children of God, to help them feel our love and support for them!  So, PLEASE help those that the missionaries teach!  Many recent converts fall away after baptism because the support system disappears.   Help them stay strong!

Also we met Camila from Chile 2 weeks ago on chat and she is amazing!  She also already has a baptismal date.  The Lord is really preparing his children for eternal life!  We aren’t helping people get baptized, we are preparing them for ETERNAL LIFE to return to God’s presence.  There is NO other work like this!  NO OTHER!!!

The Gospel is such a blessing!  The Gospel of Jesus Christ changes hearts to become gentle, pure, kind, honest and loving.  NEVER forget your testimony is fragile, don’t hold back.  God saved us for these last days to bring his children back to the fold.

I LOVE YOU ALL!  Have a wonderful week!

YOU ARE THE BEST!

Dave and I got to see Sister Tuckett this week!!!!  We went on Wednesday and met up with my cousin and her daughter for lunch and then we went to the Conference Center where they broadcast General Conference from and took a tour!  That building is amazing!!!!!  While we were there it started raining.  None of us had umbrellas, of course... but they let us borrow some there from the conference center!  We walked to the south visitors center and said goodbye to my cousin.  I sent Dave to get the car (because my feet were hurting!) and go check in at the hotel across the street from Temple Square.  While he was gone - a group of sisters came walking in.. and I recognized 2 of them!  Sister Ennis (Sister Tuckett's companion before outbound) and Sister Bellais that I have been writing.  I also found a couple other sisters I was looking for!  Pictures of everyone of course!  ;-)  I didn't know it but Sis. B. had called Sis. Tuckett!  She said,, she will be here in a few minutes!  So,, I got to hug Sis. Tuckett on Wednesday!  Had to call Dave and tell him to hurry so he could see her!

The Temple Square sisters have such a bond between them!  I loved seeing how they greeted each other and everyone on Temple Square.  Such wonderful love in their hearts!!!! I just can't even describe it.   It was also special to hear them say how much they loved Sister Tuckett!

On Thursday we got to meet Pres. and Sister Poulsen - the mission president and his wife.  Such wonderful people!  Then we went on a tour of Temple Square and had lunch at the Lion House.

Everyone should visit Temple Square at least ONCE in your life!  Such interesting stories of the buildings and history of the Church.  There is a new video.. "God's Plan" that is wonderful!  Talks about the purpose of family and helping and lifting each other.  It tells how when we are sealed in the temple for eternity - these bonds will not be broken at death - but we can be a forever family through eternity!

Our time came to an end and had to say goodbye.. but it is only 7 months until Sister Tuckett comes home!!!!  She is so happy and doesn't really want to come home right now!  She LOVES her mission!!!!  She LOVES sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who come to Temple Square and those they contact via phone/Skype.  Modern technology makes it possible for people all over the world to hear the teachings of Jesus Christ.

We couldn't be more proud of Sister Tuckett!!!!!  Love that girl!!!

Telling us about the sego lilies on the ceiling in the Assembly Hall...
"between 1840 and 1851" food became very scarce in Utah due to a crop-devouring plague of crickets, and that "the families were put on rations, and during this time they learned to dig for and to eat the soft, bulbous root of the sego lily.

She has been taking pictures on her iPad and doesn't know how to transfer them to the computer.  But, I bought her a new camera last week so she could take pictures again.. she hasn't yet!
