She didn't write a letter today!  But,, she sent me some fun pictures ~ because she knows that a picture is worth a thousand words!

I might have to get some of the news of their week from her companion's letter!

Here are some pictures from their hike up at Park City last week.

And a few goofy ones while working the Guest Services desk.

I love all of Sister Nevil's poses in the background!
Having companionship fun!

She didn't give me an explanation for this picture.. but looks like it is from their hike last week.

Brad Wilcox came to talk to the Sisters today!
She loves him!  She had been feeling kind of down and
getting to listen to Brad Wilcox lifted her spirits!

Found this picture on facebook.  Lincoln Luette found Sister Tuckett!

Hello!

This past week has been remarkable! So much to share but there never seems to be much time.. due to my lack of writing abilities! So this may come out pretty fast and confusing! But here it comes!

So a friend from outbound asked if I would join them in a fast, I picked the topic and day. So I chose June 17 and we fasted about becoming purposed driven. To do all that we can to be that missionary that Heavenly Father needs for his children that are searching for truth and purpose in life. It was a great opportunity to think about my goals on how I can do the will of the Lord.

We also have been working with a less active from Nampa (she came on chat) who has been struggling with her testimony. We got her to pray for us and to go through the Personal Progress challenge with us! We will actually be doing it with Carrie (Recent Convert) to help them better recognize their roles, worth and potentials. It will be a good experience to go through the activities with them to see them stretch and to strengthen their testimonies.

Sister Nevil passed off in ASL so we hand the opportunity to take some RARE ASL tours this week! She was so happy and she taught me how to introduce myself. It is a really cool language!

We have 5 new investigators from Liberia and 3 of them are on date as of this week! They are so prepared but some of them are not legally married and it seems to cost a lot of money for the cultural ceremonies that they hold. So that is our prayer and focus that God will provide for them to enter the waters of baptism as we have faith!

Also during a companionship study this past week we studied about the Atonement and how it is through faith that we are saved. And faith is gained through works. So "faith without works is dead." We prayed to have a experience where we got to share it with someone on the square. God so willingly provided! A small group of Anti's targeted. We thought they were a youth group on a scavenger hunt. They talked about that it is grace that saves, nothing more. They were nice but didn't have the desire to learn. The miracle was that God gave us the opportunity to share what we had learned that morning, to share the truth of His plan, through his Son our Savior.

Many more stories to share, I love you all! Remember, Prayer is the key that unlocks the heavens for Revelation!

Have a happy week!

Hello one and all!  This week has been a blessing!

The Lord is so aware of all of us!  This past week we have been having trouble finding new investigators but in the end we ended up receiving 12 and we had the opportunity to contact some of them and now we have 5 new investigators so far!  Some of them are from Africa!  They are so prepared and some of them already go to church and everything!  They just have to have the missionary discussions before they can get baptized!

Today in Relief Society we had Brother Anderson from the missionary department come and he shared with us about how important the priesthood is, that it is needed to perform ordinances.  We went over D&C 84 where it talks about the power that comes from the priesthood and how it should be used.  As we make and keep covenants we can access the power of heaven.  The first step is baptism and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.  As missionaries we cannot help people to make and keep covenants if they aren't willing to keep commitments such as reading the Book of Mormon, praying and going to church.  So he taught us how we can teach simply and with power!  To help others understand the importance of our message!

It really has been a great transfer!

We have come in contact with those that say they need proof of a God, proof of scriptures and such but one cannot see if they aren't willing.  Something I found this week.... "Believing is seeing."  As we believe in God and trust in him, all things fall into place!

I love you all!  Have a wonderful week!!

June 4, 2014 to June 4, 2015!
She has been on her mission exactly ONE YEAR TODAY!
Pictures from when we dropped her off at the MTC in Provo, Utah.

Hope you are all having a wonderful week! This first week with Sister Nevil went by so fast!

My new comp, Sister Nevil, is great! She is better than me, what can I say! :-)  She loves to work which is fantastic!  I seriously needed Emmett.  It refined me to be the trainer that the Lord needs me to be for her.  I have never had so much love for someone in my life.  Those that we meet and serve are placed in our lives by not by chance.  They are to love, to learn and grow!  The Atonement of Jesus Christ changes EVERYTHING!  It changes the way we see others, the way we treat others, and the way we see ourselves!  I just love it.  I have never experienced a change like this in my life.  I dare say that the mission prepares us for life and life prepares us for the eternities!

So Bryan, one of our investigators, is getting baptized this Saturday!  He is so prepared!  He loves going to church, and reading from the Book of Mormon!  It has been a blessing and privilege to have been able to find and teach God's children ~ the children that He has prepared for me and my companions!

Running out of time!  I just wanted you all to know that as we serve God and his son Jesus Christ, we find out who we are and who we have always been as we forget our desires for others!

I love you all!!

I asked her about Elder Perry's funeral tomorrow.. she said that the mission received 100 tickets and the "older" sisters get to attend... goes by seniority.

I asked her how she likes her new apartment.. she said it is cold!  She wears sweats and sweaters to bed!

I sent her a "1 Year" package and told her to not open it until today.... but she said she just can't help herself!  She opened it on Tuesday ~ when she received it!

Another Missionary Momma
